HOA Board Meeting 2022-07-18
Called to order at 06:33pm
Alycia, Sona, Andrew & Tim present.
Topics:
- EV Charging Stations
- This is a good starting point to understand the scope of what needs to be done to install things into a parking spot.
- It’s found under the Reston cluster resources Dropbox, and under EVCS folder.
- We agreed that we should have a Cluster standard for size/color/etc. Perhaps match to a building color pallet.
- Andrew will reach out to Reston Covenants for status of RA standard that BWCA can build on.
- How to handle a situation when a home is sold with a charging station? Does the unit get uninstalled? How to enforce the ‘return to original’ condition of sidewalk, etc?
- Perhaps form a Committee to inform the HOA Board of available Charging Station options and help to draft Cluster Standards.
- Sandwich Message Board
- Alycia: My vote is to buy a smaller sandwich board [for now] for the following reasons:
- It is not a permanent fixture so it does not require a DRB approval
- It is a smaller expense so we can see if this kind of messaging will work for the cluster
- If it yields good results & positive feedback & the budget allows for it next year, you guys can start working on the DRB application to install a bigger more attractive sign
- https://www.amazon.com/Outdoor-Display-Weatherproof-Advertising-Capacity/dp/B01EZ79OHI?ref_=ast_sto_dp
- All agreed that this is a good option and Alycia will proceed with purchasing.
- Alycia: My vote is to buy a smaller sandwich board [for now] for the following reasons:
- Tot Lot Maintenance
- Will get quotes about replacing the mulch, to leveling the ground and putting in new mulch.
- RA Tree follow up & complaint to RA
- Agreed to submit formal complaint to RA about trimming of RA Tree that we had to perform to protect Cluster property.
- Will utilize that to inform cluster members that we did this as a one time thing, and individuals have to reach out to RA directly themselves.
- If RA continues to not take care of their trees, at what point do we draw a line? Inquire with lawyer.
- Summer newsletter
- Include food truck schedule
- Will try out email & social media distribution of newsletter, will print a copy for the sandwich board
- Include QR code for Facebook page
- Include new website
- Include any member notices or acknowledgments, congratulations, etc
- If you have anything you want to share, please reach out to the HOA Board with a message
- Summer community event
