Neighborhood Exterior Coloring Overview
The palette technically consists of “stains”, not “paints”. To confirm the correctness of your product and color selection, or if you want to change the color of your house, please contact the Reston Association Covenants Advisor PRIOR to buying stain or beginning work. Note that you may not stain your house the same color as an adjacent house.
Siding colors are from the Olympic Solid Color Stains palette (Taupe, Cocoa, Monterey Gray, Beachwood, Blue Blood, and Woodland Green), Benjamin Moore Stains palette (Knoxville Gray [replaces Olympic’s Heritage Blue]) and (Desert Tan [replaces Olympic’s Parchment]), and can be purchased at Lowe’s or Benjamin Moore.
Door colors are from the Duron Exterior Accent palette (Aspiration, Farmhouse Red, Cobblestone Gray, Chadwicke Tan, and Graystone) and available at the Sherwin Williams store in Herndon, VA (703-478-0503).
Approved siding color can be used with any approved door color combination.
All trim and fences are to be stained Pittsburgh stain white.
