HOA Board Meeting 2024-05-29

Meeting called to order at 5:08PM

Andrew, Tim, Kristen, Dan and Heather were in attendance

  • Review of Annual Meeting
    • We all felt it went well, including the HOA dues increase response from the community.  Everyone in attendance understood the need for it considering the current state of things and recently finished projects.
    • Will reach back out to Bill to follow up on Cluster cleanup offer
    • Heather will contact the Pickle Ball POC with RA to inquire about leaf blowing early in morning, and participants yelling and making loud noises outside of acceptable hours.
  • Slide Update
    • Contacted the company who can perform the Removal and Replacement and has begun that process.  Will get updated quote and continue with the replacement
  • Erosion control seminar
    • Heather thought it was a great seminar.
    • Speakers had Covenants advisor, RA’s POC for erosion control and FFX county program POC.
    • The FFX County program has a grant program for to mitigation issues being faced by county members.
    • Examples of erosion projects that had been completed.  Projects were very specific for the situation in the example, but can be helpful.
    • Has been waiting for an email that was promised containing POC information for contact info and the slides used during the seminar.  Heather will reach back to get the promised information.
    • Heather has offered to be the POC for BWCA to contact these experts to try and resolve the issues of the Cluster.  The experts are FFX employees so getting advice and support should be no-cost to BWCA.
  • Lighting update for the outages that are continuing
    • The string of lights that are continuing to go out (when there is too much moisture in the ground) has highlighted a conflict with FFX water and the electrical wires that run along the curb (between the curb and sidewalk).  The lighting company is working with FFX water to figure out a way forward
    • Dan is continuing to track this issue and communicate with the lighting company
  • Fallen tree email
    • Andrew will contact Town & Country to remove the fallen tree
  • Plans for the year
    • Erosion
    • Lighting issue completion
    • Slide replacement
    • Inquire with GHA to move money into a high yield savings account or money market
    • Work to have RA enforce their rules for Pickle ball courts
    • Fill back in the mulch of the playground – action for Andrew
      • Maybe use the fallen tree bits?
      • May need to re-dig the bench
